When measurements can help
Following an impact, unusual body gaps or findings around structural areas may justify further investigation. Measurements answer a specific technical question and can contribute to damage documentation.
Frame and body measurement is different from wheel alignment. Defined points on the vehicle structure are examined according to the task. Additional suspension checks may be appropriate depending on the findings.
Using CAR-O-LINER PointX
Our office uses the mobile CAR-O-LINER PointX measuring system. Selected points are measured and assessed in relation to the vehicle and available reference data.
Results depend on access to the points and the agreed scope. One measurement is not a general guarantee that the whole vehicle is accident-free or roadworthy.
Preparing for an on-site visit
Please provide the model, year, damage description and location. Photographs can help with preparation. We clarify workshop access, exposure of measuring points and any additional requirements before the appointment.
Visits in Ludwigsau, Bad Hersfeld, Bebra, Rotenburg and the wider surrounding area are arranged individually. A suitable working environment and safe access to the vehicle are essential.

Frequently asked questions
Is frame measurement the same as wheel alignment?
No. Assessing vehicle structure and checking suspension geometry are different tasks. Both may be relevant in a particular damage case.
Can every measurement be taken in a car park?
No. Access, vehicle condition and working conditions must be suitable. We agree the location and preparation beforehand.
Does measurement replace a complete damage report?
No. It addresses a specific technical question and can form part of a more comprehensive appraisal.
